Excited after a few months of learning and hard development that Wander has now been ported into cryengine! Came up with this great idea for the contest. Competition is steep, wish me luck!
edit: Contest is over. Didn't make the cut. Wander has been a feature of Digital Gardens in Melbourne's Fringe Festival. This year Digital Gardens features Wander as a virtual garden to experience and explore. Including various Fringe performances crossing gameplay with the performing arts. Very amazing stuff. It featured sound bites from "Dropped," "They saw a Thylacine" "Lalka and Wills" We were also excited to announce that Wander will have a PS4 release.
I feel I was very lucky to stumble upon the booth which had Long Vo (noted for being lead Street Fighter character artist) accepting any requests of characters to draw for you! The list was hard to get onto as well lol I feel I was lucky to be there for the 4 days to keep coming back to try and get on the list. Then I couldn't even decide what character to request. Rayne, Triss or Rinoa?! I ended up picking Rayne but it was great to chat with the guys over the few days. They did so many requests and said they were stiff from the uncomfortable chairs and the leaning over the table. Still great job guys!
Loki and I went over to Seattle to show Wander to the Pax Prime conference. With thanks to AIE for the use of the space. We had a great time showing the USA what Wander is. We spoke with many people, developers, media and even youtube casters! A well worthwhile experience!
Pax is over and I have recovered from the sickness that many get from the event. I was there assisting with the running of the booth for Wander. We had such a great time showing people the game! We had 3 Oculus Rifts working which enticed many people to drop by and try out the rift with our game. I'm excited to announce I've been contracted to work on Wander as a level designer. Wander is a non combative collaborative game for PC, Mac & Linux. Should be very exciting! http://www.wanderthegame.com I am no longer skadiwu.weebly.com I have now appointed my website to aaronjonesart.com It best describes what my website is all about.
My website is finally up and running! There's a few missing bits here and there that I will fill in over the week. Try building a website when your internet is capped for the rest of the month. ITS NOT EASY! I'm glad I was told about internet sharing from my phone. Its alil better but means I don't have much upload power to put my videos up onto the youtube.
I'm missing a lot of 3d renders I need to re do. So that section will grow in time. |
